The establishment of Nigeria Navy School NNS is either a convention or practice , but at the discretion of any serving Chief of Naval staff at that point in time.
Though , it has become a practice in the Military that those at leadership position establish one or two institutions of the military in their various hometowns.
Even though, the case of NNS Kwanar Farakwai was different, cos there was no Chief of Naval Staff CNS from the area , but based on the exigency of government and it’s decision.
Established during the administration of Nasir Elrufai as governor of Kaduna state, the NNS seems abandoned compared to the existing ones and the newly built NNS Enugu Ezike in Enugu state.
But , if anything worth doing is worth doing well , the Naval authority under the Chief of Naval Staff, Emmanuel Ogalla should take full responsibility of not allowing the school to remain fallow , a different case from other Naval colleges spread across the country.
A visit to NNS Kwanar Farakwai, is a glaring misinormer not far from an environment of the usual state’s primary and secondary school environment with no attention at all from Naval authority.
Laced with porous environment and least facility to be regarded as NNS , except the sign post that is inscribed as NNS Kwanar Farakwai, Igabi local government area , Kaduna state.
The best administrative decision is to give adequate attention and funding to the over one decade institution, so that people from that area and far away can also benefit from the only existing Naval Secondary School NNS Kwanar Farakwai around that area.
The military and the paramilitary are known for been steadfast in all their activities, actions and decisions, so the case of NNS Kwanar Farakwai should not be different.
A stitch in time saves nine, since the nomenclature beared by the school is boldly NNS Kwanar Farakwai, it is now the responsibility of the NN to deploy necessary machinery to return the school to the standard others and the upcoming ones are enjoying.
