The Katsina State Government has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2025 Arewa TECHfest. This prestigious event, which showcases technological innovation across Northern Nigeria, will be a landmark occasion for the state.
Former Governor Nasir El-Rufai made the announcement, revealing that the 2025 edition will be themed “Spotlight on Katsina.” This follows the successful maiden edition hosted by Kano State, aptly named “Spotlight Kano.” The Arewa TECHfest is set to rotate among all Northern states, including the Federal Capital Territory, fostering a region-wide commitment to technological advancement.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON received the hosting plaque from El-Rufai, symbolizing the transfer of this important responsibility. The Governor, known for his ICT-forward policies, expressed enthusiasm about this opportunity to showcase Katsina’s growing tech ecosystem.
Naufal Ahmed, head of the Katsina Directorate of Information Communication and Technology (KATDICT), has confirmed the state’s readiness to host this monumental event.
