The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has once again pledged his administration’s support for the state’s traditional institutions, emphasizing their crucial role in promoting the rich cultural heritage of Katsina.
Speaking at the second day of the traditional durbar in Daura, known as “Hawan Magajiya ,” held in commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Governor Radda stressed the importance of cultural preservation in attracting tourists to the state.
“Our traditional rulers are the custodians of our cultural heritage,” stated Governor Radda. “Their efforts in maintaining and showcasing our traditions not only preserve our identity but also attract tourists from all walks of life.”
The Governor extended his congratulations to the Emir of Daura for the annual celebration and to the Muslim Ummah for the Maulud festivities. He urged the faithful to emulate and promote the virtuous qualities exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
In addressing the state’s security challenges, Governor Radda expressed his gratitude to the people of Katsina for their cooperation with the state administration and their support of security personnel in combating banditry.
The Governor also took a moment to acknowledge the bountiful harvest experienced in Katsina this cropping season, attributing it to the blessings of Almighty Allah.

Nasir Yahya Daura; Wife of the former President , Hajia Aisha Buhari; the Governor’s Wife, Hajia Zulaihat Dikko Radda; the State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Jabiru Tsauri; and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, among others.
