The absence of Wale Edun, Minister of Finance, from the public eye has raised concerns about his role in Tinubu’s economic team. As a key member of the team, Edun’s invisibility has sparked criticism from political observers, including myself.
As the coordinating minister, Edun is expected to be at the forefront, explaining government policy intentions and advantages. However, his absence has left a void, with only the CBN Governor, Cardoso, and his team visible.
This lack of visibility has led to questions about Edun’s effectiveness in his role. As a political comrade, I urge Edun to step up and fulfill his responsibilities. The nation needs a visible and active Minister of Finance to navigate the current economic challenges.
Edun’s invisibility has also raised concerns about the overall effectiveness of Tinubu’s economic team. With only Cardoso and his team visible, it seems like a one-man show. This is not what Nigerians expected from Tinubu’s administration.
I call on Edun to break his silence and demonstrate his commitment to his role. The nation needs a cohesive and visible economic team to drive growth and development.
