The Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahya Daura, accompanied by several members of the state assembly, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON.
The visit was to express gratitude for the successful hosting of the Public Engagement, 2025 Citizens Budget Participation Process, and the Launching of Community Development Programme (CDE) in Funtua and Daura Zones.
During the visit, Speaker Daura took the opportunity to reaffirm the assembly’s unwavering support for Governor Radda’s administration. He commended the governor’s approach to leadership, noting that engaging directly with the people demonstrates good governance. The Speaker emphasized that such initiatives, which connect the government with its citizens, are crucial for fostering transparent and responsive leadership in Katsina State.
Responding to the parliamentarians, Governor Radda expressed deep appreciation for the Speaker and assembly members’ support. He reaffirmed his strong commitment to engaging directly with the people, acknowledging their role in his mandate.
“The citizens who placed their trust in us through their votes deserve nothing less than our full attention and dedication,” the Governor stated. He pledged to address the pressing demands raised during the public engagement and called the Assembly Members to champion the Community Development Programme (CDP) in their constituencies.
