The Executive Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has demonstrated his commitment to citizen welfare and infrastructure development through a series of condolence visits and a project inspection across the state today.

Accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, the Governor visited Faskari to commiserate with the State Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Hamza Suleiman Faskari, on the loss of his mother, Hajia Ruqayya Suleiman Faskari.

The late Hajia Ruqayya, who passed away at the age of 94 in Zaria, Kaduna State, left behind a legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Among her children are Professor Iro Sule of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the Commissioner himself.

In Gyaza Village, Governor Radda paid his respects to the family of the late Sanusi Ango, the 55-year-old Liaison Officer and Coordinator of Gwagware Foundation, who, along with his junior wife Hadiza, fell victim to a recent bandit attack.

The Governor strongly condemned these acts of violence against innocent citizens, stating, “We unequivocally denounce this inhuman killing.

The state government will put up necessary assistance for the deceased family and children.”

He offered prayers for the departed souls and expressed his administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges in the region.

Following these solemn duties, Governor Radda conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing upgrade of Faskari Comprehensive Health Center to a General Hospital.

He noted that while insecurity had previously hindered progress, improved conditions have allowed work to resume, with the project now at approximately 70% completion.

“With the security situation improving, we’re witnessing renewed momentum on this critical healthcare project,” Governor Radda observed.

He instructed the State Commissioner of Health, Hon. Musa Adamu Funtua, to intensify supervision efforts to ensure timely completion.

“This facility, once completed, will significantly enhance healthcare delivery for the people of Faskari and surrounding areas,” the Governor emphasized.

These activities are pointers to Governor Radda’s multifaceted approach to governance, addressing security concerns, supporting bereaved citizens, and advancing crucial development projects simultaneously.
