Supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) yesterday in Abuja attacked the Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka and his supporters right inside the premises of the Supreme Court.
The attacks began when supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) started hurling stones, bottles, and plastic containers directly at Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, supporters and leaders of the SDP immediately after the Supreme Court delivered its judgment.
This incident highlights the pressing need for enhanced security measures and a renewed commitment to ensuring the safety of all individual Kogi State Citizens at this crucial moments.
You will recall for this same purpose the tribunal was moved to Abuja from Lokoja, yet thugs loyal to Yahaya Bello the former Governor of Kogi State and Bashir Gegu operated with all forms of immunity as though they owned Nigeria in their palms even in the Federal Capital Territory leaving several of our supporters attacked.
The attempt to cover up the attacks on Alhaji Muritala Ajaka and its supporters by Kingley Fanwo is fraudulent as the whole incident was captured live on video. It’s crucial to expose such deceitful actions and demand accountability from those responsible.
Transparency and truth must prevail to uphold justice and protect the rights of all individuals involved.
We hereby call on the Inspector General of Police and all other relevant security agencies to commence a details investigation into the attack of the Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka and his supporters.
