Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu, APC Chairmanship Standard Bearer for Idah Local Government Area, attended the Human Capital Development program for Youths and Women in Modern Agricultural Development in the Eastern part of Kogi State on Friday, 16th, and 17th August 2024. The event was sponsored by the Federal Cooperative College, Oji River, Enugu State and Federal College Of Fisheries and Marine Technology Lagos, in conjunction with Monnex Global Resources Ltd, and facilitated by Distinguished Sen. Jibrin Isah Echocho.
Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu commended Sen. Jibrin Isah Echocho for initiating such a beneficial project for the youths and women in the region, particularly in Idah Local Government Area. He applauded the Senator’s efforts in empowering the community and pledged his support for the program.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Acharu Okpanachi; Hon. Friday Idachaba (Okpologidi); Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Hon. Rabiu Siaka; SSA on Community Relations, Hon. Meyanga; SSA on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Ali Keller; immediate past Vice Chairperson of Idah LG, Hon. Zuwera Idowu; and the party chairman of Idah LGA, Hon. Freeman Adejoh, among others.
Hon. Ibro Akiti, representing Sen. Jibrin Isah Echocho, assured the attendees that more empowerment programmes would be implemented until the Senator’s tenure expires. He highlighted the Senator’s commitment to the development of the region and his dedication to empowering the youth and women.
The program aimed at equipping participants with modern agricultural skills, promoting self-sufficiency and economic growth was a huge success by all standards.
Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu at the occasion emphasized the importance of the initiative which addresses unemployment and poverty in the region.
In his remarks, Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu praised the collaborative effort between the Federal Cooperative College, Monnex Global Resources Ltd, and Distinguished Sen. Jibrin Isah Echocho’s office. He encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the opportunity, assuring them of his support in their future endeavors.
