The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has been commended by an elite delegation of Ogugu and Ofante Communities while on a courtesy call to him in his office at the National Assembly.
Among other things, the highly powerful delegation which was led by a sterling legal luminary cum bided chief of Igala Kingdom with the traditional title of Agenyi Ata’gala, Chief Ogwu James Onoja, SAN as well as a former Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Innocent Ekpa appealed to the ranking member to help in facilitating the construction of Ofante to Ogugu road.
According to the learned silk who is also a holder of the Distinguished Service Star Of River State (DSSR) honour, the road has been in a sorry state for a very long time causing commuters ecological hazards and being compassionate about the plights of his people, took it upon himself to seek government’s support from where he feels will yield a positive result.
Responding, the Federal Lawmaker thanked Ogwu James Onoja, SAN and the entire delegation for commending his efforts in the service of the people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency. Rep Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims expressed delight in the confidence he enjoys from notable personalities of the area and assured sending a facts finding team to carry out an on the spot analysis of the road in order to properly guide his intervention.
In his vote of thanks, Barr. Innocent Ekpa, who doubles as a former Senior Legislative Aide to Kogi East Senator thanked Rep. Halims for his warm reception as well as impressive performance in the parliament and urged him to sustain the tempo.
