The spokesman of the Katsina State PDP, Lawal DanAde, has strongly criticized some members of the party, including Senator Tsauri, Salisu Yusuf Majigiri, and Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa. DanAde described them as individuals who have lost their political relevance both within and outside the state.
Recently, Tsauri, Mustapha, and Majigiri, who currently represents the Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency, held a press conference where they criticized the leadership of the PDP at both the state and national level. They alleged that the party was being controlled by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
In response, DanAde swiftly reacted, stating that the trio are contributing to the problems within the PDP in Katsina state. He accused them of colluding with the ruling APC party to hinder the PDP’s chances of winning the 2023 governorship election in the state.
DanAde stated, “These individuals have lost their political relevance and couldn’t even secure victory in their own polling units. In fact, both Mustapha and Tsauri lost their polling units, wards, and local governments to the APC. They have done nothing to support the PDP’s success.”
Regarding Hon Majigiri, DanAde pointed out that his political allegiance lies with former Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema, who is a member of the APC. It is evident to all, even the politically unaware, that Majigiri is working for the APC. Therefore, he is not qualified to speak about our party,” DanAde added.
DanAde accused the trio of being opportunistic politicians who are only interested in personal gain. He insisted that their current criticism stems from their hunger for relevance.
“These individuals are driven by idleness and lack of work. The politics they relied on has left them long ago because they no longer have control over their political base. They refuse to accept this reality, hence their baseless ranting,” DanAde said.
He further praised Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke for providing unwavering support to the Katsina State chapter of the PDP. DanAde challenged those he accused of engaging in mercantilist politics to provide any evidence of their contributions to the advancement of the party.
DanAde also defended the appointment of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, stating that his performance proves that his appointment by President Tinubu was well-deserved. He criticized PDP members who are criticizing Wike, stating that his performance has brought joy to the party.
Lastly, DanAde acknowledged the leadership acumen of the current national working committee led by Umar Damagum, stating that they have prevented the PDP from collapsing. He dismissed all the allegations raised by Tsauri, Mustapha, and Majigiri as baseless.
