Living an impactful life both in public, private service is an enduring legacy expected of a patriotic and result oriented personality in the likes of Dr Kashim Yunusa Akor, NPOM, FNIM, who is the immediate past Director General, National Productivity Centre (NPC), and current member , Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP).
For consecutive eight years , Dr Kashim Akor who rose through the cadre of service to become the two time Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC between 2015-2023.
Akor who met a moribund organization only dependent on annual budgets allocation, turnaround it to an agency that promoted its statutory functions in line with its mandate and also transformed it not only to a revenue yielding, but alive to its responsibility.
Aside promoting productivity at it’s high pedestal during his eight years term, he attracted national development in all aspects through the attractions of federal lawmakers consisting of 109 senators and 360 federal house of representatives members into channeling their various constituency projects allocated of them through the centre.
Dr Kashim Akor grew the attractions of constituency projects from zero level to billions of naira, that had contributed grossly to national development in the area of infrastructure, health, education, and social security.
Within the period of his leadership, he also provided job opportunities to teeming Nigerians both in public and private sector.
In the area of community service, Dr Kashim Akor explored the needed communal services through provision of renewable energy (solar street lights), boreholes ,empowerment , capacity building, training and development along with intervention in series of religious and other endeavors across igala land , Kogi state and Nigeria at large.
With this singular efforts , he has created engagement outlets for many people who had no access to white collar jobs , and already self employed that guaranteed self sustenance in various homes and communities.
His communal service went beyond his immediate community and state as he was honored by the Yewa community in Ogun state by Olu of Ilaro as Otunba Gbeluniyi of the kingdom owing to his contributions to the community, not long after he was also honored by Attah igala, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa as Omachi Attah igala.
Aside the three chieftaincy titles, Dr Kashim Yunusa Akor NPOM, FNIM was rewarded with many awards both locally , nationally and internationally due to his contributions.
No doubt , just few years after leaving office ,his success story adored everywhere, as he is well positioned to continue to serve his fatherland in various capacity that provides itself in the course of time.
As you mark additional year today , 6th , July , 2024 , May this also mark more years, more fame, more prosperity in your determination to continue to serve your fatherland.
