My attention has been drawn to false broadcast by Arise TV with regard to His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State 100 days in office.
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have reacted but allowing such misleading news to linger in the public without straightening the facts may be taken to be the true position by the innocent public.
For a media organisation like Arise TV to trivialise security matter that have become a cankerworm not just in our country but all over the world beats my imagination.
In a release issued by the Secretary, Idah local government and Chairman, forum of Secretaries in kogi stated on Monday,13th, May, 2023.
Governor Ododo’s visit to the National Security Adviser (NSA) as reported in his first 100 days which the MORNING SHOW crew of Arise TV were trying to undermine is only a show of how bias and partisan they have become.
The governor who has rejigged the state security architecture with a great innovation to weed the state of bandits, kidnapping and armed robbers needed to have the buy – in of the NSA so as to have both the federal and state government on the same page.
It is unfortunate for the media organisation to attempt to water down the agricultural revolution going on in the state. It is clear they are doing the bidding of their paymasters, but at the appropriate time, even the blinds and the deafs will applaud the governor on these comprehensive massive infrastructural and human capital development, that is ongoing in the state.
I wish to congratulate the governor on the safe return of the fourteen students kidnapped from the Confluence University of science and technology, Osara.
His Excellency visited the school upon the news of the unfortunate incident and promised the safe return of the students, without payment of ransom. That has been achieved in record time.
This is a promise made and a promise kept. This is exactly what leadership is all about and like I have consistently said of the governor, he personifies sacrifice, humility, meekness and human kindness. These are graciously been reflected in his governance style.
