As a responsible government under the leadership of His Excellency,Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia ,it is curious to state reiterate the Executive Directive by the His Excellency,Governor Hyacinth Iormem
Alia, for all ministries, departments and agencies to compile and forward their respective scorecards in the last ten months of his administration, preparatory to the documentary capturing and presentations of the Governor Alia’s one year anniversary as the sixth democratically elected Governor of Benue State.
2. For purposes of transparency, accountability and inclusivity,it is unarguably fundamental to the life of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration for the good people of State to have a clear and realistic picture of the development strides of his government, with respect and responsibility to his campaign promises, and the efficacy of such promises within the first one year of his administration. This is critical for the purpose of drawing lines of awareness, responsibility, accountability and appreciation of where and what the present government of Governor Hyacinth Alia has achieved in value added chain and existence of the good people of Benue State, sectorally.
3. Unfortunately,it has been observed that some ministries, departments and agencies are yet to comply with the Executive Directive of His Excellency,Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia in submitting their scorecards/achievements so far within the time under review.
4. This lack of compliance tends to undermine the commitment of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s objective of ensuring that the good people of Benue State are carried along in terms of awareness, enlightenment and sensitization on the Governor’s vision, mission and the achievements so made by his administration for Benue State.
5. In line with the above,we call on commissioners, heads of extra ministerial departments, agencies, etc under the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia to expedite actions and submit copies of their scorecards. Hence,we may not hesitate to publish the names of ministries, departments that fail to comply with the Governor’s directive.
5. The deadline for submission of scorecards by ministries, departments and agencies is 31st of March,2024. All submissions are to be forwarded to the Office of the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on Research,Documentation and Strategy,Government House,Makurdi.
