As the global community marks the 2024 International Women’s Day, IWD, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has reaffirmed his commitment to empowering women in Katsina State.
This year’s theme, “Invest in Women:Accelerate Progress” resonates deeply with the Governor’s vision for a more inclusive and prosperous Katsina State.
Governor Radda, in a statement by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, pledged his administration’s unwavering support to developing sound initiatives and administration policies that will promote rights and well-being of women in Katsina.
“Under Governor Radda’s leadership, the Katsina State Government has been implementing policies and programs aimed at eliminating gender disparities and creating equal opportunities for all.
“From education to healthcare, entrepreneurship to leadership, the government is working tirelessly to ensure that women are given the platform and resources they need to actualize their career ambitions.
“On this occasion, Governor Dikko Radda extends his heartfelt appreciation to the women of Katsina State for their resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to building a better future for themselves and their families.
“He called on civil society organizations and the private sector, to join hands with the government in advancing the cause of gender equality and women empowerment, in the country.
“As we celebrate International Women’s Day, my administration recommits itself to breaking down barriers, building bridges and empowering women for a more sustainable and prosperous Katsina State,” part of the statement reads.
