Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has been recognized as one of the 2023 Governors of the Year by the Leadership Group, publishers of Leadership Newspapers. The prestigious award ceremony took place at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Abuja on Tuesday, with the presence of esteemed governors from Jigawa, Niger, Oyo, and Benue States, along with distinguished ministers.
Governor Radda was chosen among three other governors nationwide for this esteemed accolade, in recognition of his efforts to address the security challenges faced by the people of Katsina State. The Leadership Group highlighted Governor Radda’s commitment to combating banditry and criminal activities, thereby ensuring the safety and well-being of his constituents.
Governor Radda thanked management of the Leadership Group for the recognition. He said the award would spur him to do more for the people of Katsina State.
He reiterated his commitment towards making Katsina state a safe haven for investors and making all books and crannies of the state peaceful.
During the ceremony, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Minister of Information and National Reorientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, commended the recipients of the Leadership Award. He praised Governor Radda’s exceptional leadership style, performance, and dedication to the people of Katsina State, underscoring the significance of such qualities in governance.
This recognition marks Governor Radda’s second award within nine months in office, following his previous honor as the Icon of Democracy in December. His unwavering dedication to serving the people of Katsina State continues to inspire positive change and development throughout the region.
