Kogi Lawmaker representing Ankpa 1 state constituency and Chairman House Committee on finance, Rt Honorable Lawal Akus has placed 24 Students of Glory Land Polytechnic, Ankpa on scholarship having offset their school fees.
The over 4M gesture took place during the presentation of the initial cheque to the management of the school on Monday in Ankpa.
The beneficiaries which ranges from students of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration, Business Administration and Accounting were carefully selected across the state Constituency to support their Education in the tertiary institution.
While promising to also extend similar gesture to students of College of Education soon, the Lawmaker advised beneficiaries to be serious with their studies, so as to justify the gesture extend to them .
He promised to sustain the Educational support and revolving, provided the current benefits leave up to expectations in the pursuit of their Education.
The state lawmaker described Education as a veritable tool and opportunity towards self sustenance and life expectations.
