You will recall that at the inception,and inaugural remarks of his administration,the Executive Governor of Benue State,His Excellency,Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia made a covenant with God and the good people of Benue State that he was prepared,ready and committed to protecting their lives and property within the extent of God’s given opportunities,privileges and might for him to do.
In line with the above,Governor Hyacinth Alia has audaciously prioritized his administration’s state policies,actions,programmes and dedicated agenda in fulfilling the overall objective of securing the lives of every Nigerian located within the boundaries Benue State,and wherever applicable.
Manifestly, on the 24th of January,2024,Governor Hyacinth Alia took part in the high profile round table gathering of national security stakeholders at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre,Abuja. The round table meeting was to evolve multidimensional approaches in tackling the changing phases and dimensions of regional insecurity in Northern Nigeria.
The round table security meeting was chaired Nigeria’s former Head of State and Commander of the Armed Forces,General Abdulsalami Abubakar,GCFR.
