Few days to the end of the two term tenure of outgoing Kogi Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Kogi House located strategically around Maitama area of Abuja is still in it’s shadows.
The building according to sources was convened ten years ago under the administration of Capt Idris Wada to avoid land grabbers take over the strategic location.
The multi million billion naira building is located within the same area were Abia House, Borno House, Adamawa House and the Federal High Court, Abuja , with Kogi House as the only uncompleted or abandoned project around the location.
Borno House was reconstructed under two years in the first term of the Governor of Borno state , Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
The bonded project was abandoned along with others in the state capital, with no clear cut decisions and reasons behind the outgoing government position.
It was rumoured towards the twilight of the 2023 that the state government had completed arrangements to dispose the edifice to FIRS, a decision that Kogi government has either denied or reacted to it.
The ten story building which was structurally completed for eight years had become a harbor for all sorts of artisans around the area.
