The North Central Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, strongly condemns the attacks by evil gun men on three Local Government Areas of Bokkos, Barkin Ladi and Mangu Local Government areas of Plateau State, where scores have been killed with the death toll put at 160 persons, as at last count.
It is sad to know that these attacks were perpetrated at a time when the unarmed people in the affected local government areas were preparing for the 2023 Christmas celebrations.
The PDP calls on the President Ahmed Tinubu led federal government to scout for and apprehend the culprits of the reprehensible and mindless attack for persecution of this group of renegades that are causing trouble, and wasting the lives of innocent Nigerians.
We equally charge the security agencies to remodel their security planning and intelligence gathering system in order to be able to contain these criminal elements that are disrupting the peace of the country.
The APC led federal government must also give the security agencies the needed support to unravel the real sponsors of these evil and tame these rising wave of attacks, in order to make the country safe for all.
We particularly wish to sympathize with our leader in the Zone who is also the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Muftwang and all the peoples of the 16 affected communities who have lost their loved ones and those whose valuable properties have been destroyed in this satanic attacks.
The Party prays for devine healings for those who suffered injuries during the carnage.
