The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has effected a minor cabinet reshuffle with the swapping of positions of two commissioners.
In a statement on Monday, the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Yusuf Rabiu Jirdede exchanged positions with his counterpart in the Ministry of Rural and Social Development, Aliyu Lawal Zakari.
The statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, stated that the Governor Radda also approved the appointment of Lawal Attahiru Bakori as the General Manager of Katsina State Radio Service.
Bakori replaces Abba Dayyabu Safana the erstwhile General Manager who has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Engagement.
Lawal Bakori was born in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Hausa and the Diploma in Journalism.
Bakori began his working career in the State Radio Service in 1988 and rose to the position of Manager programmes before his appointment as Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State in 2003. He was appointed Special Assistant on Media to the President in 2007.
He later became Director of Programmes of the State Radio in 2021 and retired as Director on GL 16.
In another development Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has ordered the reconstitution of the Management of Katsina United football club with immediate effect.
