The Chief Medical Director, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada UATH, Professor Bissala Ekele has commended the former Nigeria’s first lady , Dr Aisha Buhari for the building and donation of a Centre and equipping the Trauma Centre of the hospital.
Professor Ekele dropped this assertion during the visit and inspection by Committee of Chief Medical Directors, Medical Directors of federal Tertiary Hospitals CCMDFTH on Friday in Gwagwalada.
He stated that the provision of Endocrine Centre has provided many services ranging from General Outpatient Department GOPD to Medical Outpatient Department MOPD to many patients admitted into the hospital .
The Chief Medical Director briefed his colleagues on the gesture of former Nigeria’s first lady who refused to be named after a structure she provided, but accepted to equip the new Trauma Centre before it was named after her.
The former first lady promised and deliver on her promises , as the whole edifice was furnished and equiped.
The Committee also inspected the new Accident and Emergency Unit anc ongoig Call duty staff quarters for medical doctors of the hospital.
