Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed utter shock over the demise of Sheikh Yusuf Ali.
The Kano State-born prominent Islamic cleric, aged 73, died yesterday. The deceased’s Janazah (funeral prayer) will take place at his residence in Tudun Maliki Quarters in Kano today by 1:30pm.
Condoling with the Government and people of Kano State over Sheikh Ali’s death, Governor Radda in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, noted that the late religious scholar immensely propagated Islam not only in Kano State, but across many parts of the North.
He said that Sheikh Ali devoted his entire life and also sacrificed his precious time and energy for righteous courses.
Said Radda: “Indeed, Sheikh Yusuf Ali is an Islamic cleric of no mean repute, who gave his all for Islamic evangelism in Kano and across the Northern part of the country.
“The legacies Sheikh Isa bequeathed to humanity are enduring. Many people will remember his religious advocacy sessions and callings to Muslims to serve Allah sincerely, and with moderation.
“At this sombre moment that we all mourn his painful exit, it is my hope that Allah (S.W.T) will grant his family and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of Sheikh Ali. May Allah (S.W.T) also pardon the indiscretions, and make Jannatul Firdaus his eternal abode in the hereafter. Ameen”.
