President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the immediate past commissioner for finance, Lagos state, Dr Rabiu Onaolapo Olowo as Executive Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria FRCN.
This is sequel to the announcement of 14 chief executive officers under the Federal Ministry of Trade and investment among others.
Olowo who served as Lagos Finance Commissioner between 2019 and 2023 is an expert both in forensic training and Banking.
During his stint , he jerked up the monthly revenue base of Lagos state from 20B to the current appreciable stage, by creating many routes to revenue generation for Lagos state.
Olowo who had made considerable wave in financial management won medals both at home and at the international fora.
He became commissioner for finance Lagos state at 32, and contributed greatly to the economic development of the state at the heat period of COVID-19.
Olowo will take over from the outgoing leadership under Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed.
