APC Thugs tagged Echocho boys , a serving senator representing Kogi east have attacked a family member in his village , Ajiolo Ojaji in , Dekina local government area of Kogi state.
The attack a replay of the earlier one in 2019 was to resist the decision of the Attah family in Ajiolo from supporting opposition parties like PDP and now SDP.
The coordinated attack carried on Wednesday morning was among many been inflicted on innocent people by APC Kogi state led administration which the Senator is representing at the upper chamber.
The attack which had led many of the family members matcheted with various degrees of injuries also affected the properties and homes of the victims.
A family member who spoke on half the affected victims said:
“These are my Uncle’s, Cousins and Aunt that were attacked earlier today in Ajiolo Ojaji by the same set of boys that attacked our family house in 2019,they call themselves Echocho Boys. They acted in 2019 at the behest of Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho in 2019 and today.”
“Their offence is exercising their right to choice of candidates to support in the 2019 and 2023 elections .”
“The same Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho has his kids receiving qualitative education outside the chores of Nigeria ,but he is content with arming and funding some uneducated boys as ‘Echocho Boys’ to unleash violence and destruction on inhabitants of Ajiolo Ojaji all in a bid to enforce his choice on the good people of Ajiolo Ojaji.”
“He has made some feeble attempts at denying any association with the brigands, he knows in his heart of hearts that he is lying and as they say, lying to ones self is the worst form of deception. Of you are not their sponsors,I challenge you to move beyond your comical and deceptive denial to summon a meeting in Ajiolo and issue a disclaimer against them and see what happens to them within 24 hours.”
“After the 2019 mayhem,we deferred to appeals by well meaning sons and daughters of Ajiolo Ojaji and allowed the sleeping dogs to lie,and then this?”
“Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho,I am asking you publicly to tell the world what wrong that the larger Attah family has done to you to warrant your desire to seek our annihilation as a family?”
“You have declared war on us as a family ,the gloves are off. We have accepted your challenge to a duel. We would follow all the legal channels to ensure that your thugs are brought to justice and that must happen ,then we up our fight with you.”
“We as a family have shown you tremendous goodwill but since you have decided to pay us back with evil,be ready for our fight back,we are not cowards or weaklings.”
“Keep praying that all our injured family members receiving treatment at the hospital come home hale and hearty.”
“It is a tragedy of monumental magnitude that you could throw your so called educational and professional achievements as well as the exalted position you occupy to play in the mud of thuggery……I am ashamed on your behalf,we are ready for you,if you want to appreciate the one that has over rewarded you,simply move to Lugard house of be kneeling before him at any times as possible. Our will as individuals and members of the Attah can not be broken.”
As at press time all the victims of the attacks are still recieving treatment in the hospital as the law enforcement agencies in the area had feign commiseration with people’s life under serious threat.
