The former governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has clarified the purported endorsement of Accord Party Candidate, Admiral Jibrin , saying he remained a strong member of PDP.
While reacting to the statement credited to him on the preparedness of the Accord Party Candidate, Admiral Jibrin Usman to clinch the next Kogi Governorship election slated for November on Tuesday, Idris said of course nobody will go to an election without preparation, stating that preparation is a relative term and applicable to all .
He said his position as father of all does not allow him to be one sided, rather playing advisory roles to all contestants , stating that he remained the PDP elder in Kogi.
“I cannot eat from both sides of my mouth, but for the fact that people recognised me as father of all , will not be an opportunity to create division among them , as a father.”
He urged the general public to disregard the statement credited to him, staying it was a mere over exaggeration of his position.
Idris prayed for a peaceful and united Kogi state were electorates votes will count in the forthcoming November governorship election.
