The Kogi State University, Anyigba Alumni Association has confered on the son of the late former governor of Kogi state, Prince Mohamed Abubakar Audu with leadership award.
The award was announced during the 20th anniversary of the pioneer and alumni of the Institution held at Edge drive Hotel in Lokoja on Friday, the Kogi state capital.
According to the alumni, the contributions of Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Audu to the establishment and sustenance of the Institution, could not be quantified or over emphaised.
They commended Alhaji Mohammed for his selfless services particularly during the convening of the school in 1999 , over two decades ago.
“The implementation team among many others worked directly or indirectly with him to ensure the realization of the dream of the state owing the first and the best state university at that point in time.”
The body urged the former governor’s son not to relent on more supports to the Institution in all areas.
The former governor’s son who was unavoidably absent, appreciated the honor and promised to revert to the alumni when he returned to the country.
