The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria MDCAN University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada UATH chapter will convene it’s annual general meeting on the 24-25 August, 2023.
The occasion taking place at the hospital compound will hold at ICN auditorium.
The theme of the event under Professor Innocent Ujah , Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences, Oturkpo and former National President, Nigeria Medical Association NMA, as key note speaker is , “Sustaining Medical Practice in A Distressed Economy”; The Role of MDCAN.
The sub themes at the occasion will be “Mentorship in Medical Practice, Bridging the Gap” to be presented by Professor Uche-Nebe Agumadu of Department of Paedetrics, UATH and “Security Challenges and their impact on Health Indices in Nigeria, with it’s key not speaker by Professor Otaki Osana Alanana of the Department of Sociology, University of Abuja.
The Chairman of the occasion will be Dr Abubakar Kana, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Defence, while the special guest of honor is Professor Abdulrasheed NaAllah,Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja.
The Chief Host is Professor Bissala A. Ekele, Chief Medical Director, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, with Dr Anthony Bawa chairing the Local Organising Committee LOC.
The Host is Dr Grace Agbenu Otoka, Chairman MDCAN, UATH and Dr Malachy Emeka Ayogu, Secretary, LOC AGM 2023.
A dinner for the occasion is expected to hold at MDCAN lounge UATH at 5pm same day.
