On Thursday, 27th , July , 2023 was a major milestone in the life of many Nigerian youths with the announcement on the floor of the Senate on the inclusion of Hajiya Imaan Suleiman- Ibrahim as one of the Minister nominee from Nassarawa state, after the long awaited list from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu read by the Senate President, Obong Godswill Akpabio.
From the concentration of the Senate President to the attention of Senators and by extension Nigerians who have luckily hooked on to the live coverage of the NTA of the days session, the name of Imaan-Suleiman Ibrahim that was not forthcoming after many women were mentioned came with succour at the 23rd on the list, with high relief to ordinary Nigerians particularly the youthful, agile, hardworking and modest folk that she represented, both the low, middle and even the high class.
Imaan, who left the university shores at 19, and had two master degrees at 21, was an indicator that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu considered merit above any other thing, except for her , she was fitted in all areas aside resume.
Her administrative disposition both at the cabinet office and headship of agencies and assignments at Ministries was distinct, having managed two critical humanitarian and social agencies within two years in a row to the consternation of many Nigerians.
She revolutionized her public service acumen within six months at NAPTIP, and managed to the satisfaction of government and Nigerians the issues of Refugees, internally displaced persons IDPs and persons of concerns POCs with new initiatives and innovations that had given a sense of belongings to the IDPs in Nigeria.
Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim within two years in office evacuated refugees from African countries with high number of about 5000 matching words with action as declared by her at the last 77th United Nations General Assembly UNGA in the U.S.held in September, 2022.
Aside meeting the target of evacuating the refugees stranded in some African countries and resettled them, she attended to series of emergencies from Sudan, Dubai , South Africa among many others to avoid genocide in the crises ridden and war torn like countries, at that particular point in time.
Hajiya Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim was fitted to series of political movement that led to the emergence and victory of APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu both across the country and in her geopolitical zone, the North- Central that led to the singular recognition.
With intimidating resume fitted for both local and international engagements and appointments, no doubt the recommendation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to nominate Imaan-Suleiman Ibrahim as Minister nominee was all encompassing and desiring, coinciding with the template of the President to work with people of distinct and extraordinary resume.
Highly energetic and workaholic, the appointment of Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim as a cabinet Minister will galvanise not only her portfolio or would be Ministry, but the entire cabinet and leadership of the country, in the shortest possible time.
For Imaan-Suleiman Ibrahim she is already tested and trusted to deliver on the electoral promises of APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, beyond the expectations of Nigerians.
Nigerians are anxious to know and demonstrate the zeal she had indulged and practiced both in the highly organised private sector that metamorphosed into public office as a humanitarian, a care giver and social messiah in recent times.
All hands must be on deck to continue to support her towards the delivery of dividends of democracy to Nigerians in her given assignment.
