The Director General, National Productivity Centre, NPC, Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha has emphaised that the centre will prioritize constant training and retraining with a view to building the needed capacity in the work place.
Raji dropped this message during the three day capacity building training on International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS) for Finance, Accounts and Audit Department staff organised by the centre in collaboration with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) , held in Mararaba, Nassarawa state.
Dr Raji maintained that it will be counter productive as the hub of capacity design and development , to be lagging behind in the area of staff development, stating that capacity building is the panacea to robust productivity.
He commended the office of the accountant general for it’s collaboration with the centre, stating that the three day event was timely and refreshing towards staff advancement.
While declaring the capacity building event closed, Dr Raji assured the staff for a continuous collaborations and staff development to trigger more opportunities in the area of productivity.
Highlights of the event included presentation of certificates of attendance to the staffs of the centre.
