The former Director General, National Productivity Centre Dr. Kashim Akor has called on Ankpa Community and the Centre to imbibe the spirit of selflessness, sacrifice and patriotism in the quest to build a virile and economically viable Community and Centre.
Dr. Akor in his message to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, said that what Ankpa Community and the Centre needs at this critical stage of her development are sacrifices, love and unity.
According to the former Director General, the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, Ishmael as an act of obedience to God’s command was the greatest act of obeisance, which all of us must imbibe to ensure national unity and economic growth.
“The significance of this celebration should not be lost on every Nigerian irrespective of their religion.
The new Director General, led by Dr. Nasir O. Raji-Mustapha has introduced measures to launch the Centre on the path to development.
Some of these measures, including the Wefare of Staff, which are meant to motivate the Staff, require the sacrifice and the cooperation of every Staff to make them work effectively,”
Dr. AKOR said.
The former Director General reiterated the determination of the new Director General to improve on the wellbeing of the Staff of the Centre through various intervention programmes in line with his 3 points agenda.
He congratulated Muslims in Ankpa Community and the Centre on this year’s celebration, even as he urged them to follow the example laid down by Prophet Ibrahim, which were sacrifice and penitence.
He urged them to pray for the peace and progress of the Community and the Centre.
