ONE MORE DEATH TOO MANY!
I vehemently condemn the killing of 24yr old Atima Abdullahi this morning from a crossfire between some yet to be determined elements in Ejule (Ofu LGA, Kogi State).
It is quite unfortunate that human life has become ostensibly worthless in Kogi East considering that past killings such as this have either not been investigated, neglected or unpunished.
While circumstances surrounding this heinous killing are sketchy, I should add that no human life is worth anyone’s means or end or both.
I leverage my status as a citizen to call on the government and relevant authorities to explain what happened and immediately apprehend the ‘culprits’ if only to show they are not complicit and to forestall a resort to self-help on the part of the citizens.
All people of good conscience must openly condemn this dastardly act. *The killings must stop IMMEDIATELY*
NB: *** unconfirmed reports have it that another young man hit by a hail of bullets is battling for his life.
