The Igala Youths Leaders Assembly IYLA, a political think tank has called for the removal of Kogi Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Hale Longpet Gabriel and the Administrative Secretary, Engr Sulaiman Tanko Musa who had both taken partisan stance on Kogi election.
The two duos have been responsible for all forms of manipulations and falsification of Kogi election results in cahot with the state government officials.
The group in a mass protest across Lokoja, Kogi state capital also asked INEC to redeploy all the Electoral officers(EOs) who have turned multi millionaires out of shaddy deals with the state government.
They stated that more than 85% of the staffs of INEC are already living extraordinary lives courtesy of Kogi state government patronage at every election, especially through manipulations and falsification of election results to soothe the desire of APC led government in Kogi .
“The Administrative Secretary, Engr Sulaiman Tanko Musa is the go between the Kogi state government officials and staffers of the commission, hence the urgent need to remove him from Kogi state, having overstayed.”
The group promised to continue the protest untill INEC effect necessary changes before the November Kogi election.
