The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting Islam and restoring peace in the state.
Governor Radda emphasized the importance of religious harmony in a state where Muslims constitute over 90% of the population.
The Governor made this known at the Maulud Nabbiy celebration organized by the Munazzamatul Fityanul Islam in Charanchi Local Government Area.
During the event, Governor Radda expressed appreciation for the sustained prayers of Islamic scholars and urged the Muslim community to maximize such gatherings for prayers focused on peace and divine guidance.
He assured the faithfuls that his administration would intensify efforts to restore peace across the state, acknowledging the gradual reduction in banditry incidents and the recent bumper harvest as answers to prayers.
Religious leaders, including Dr. Nasir Adams, President of the National Council of Chief Imams, and Sheikh Abdullahi Saide, President of Munazzamatu Fityanul Islam, addressed the gathering.
They spoke on the virtues of Prophet Muhammad SAW and encouraged Muslims to commemorate his birth.
