The Executive Governor of Katsina State and Chairman of the Northwest Governors Forum, His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has congratulated Hon. Shamsu Sule Funtua on his appointment as Katsina State’s representative to the inaugural Governing Board of the North West Development Commission (NWDC).
This significant appointment comes in the wake of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s signing of the North West Development Commission Bill into law on July 24, 2023, marking a pivotal moment for the region’s development agenda.
Governor Radda expressed his enthusiasm for this appointment, stating, “Hon. Shamsu Sule Funtua’s inclusion in the NWDC board is a testament to his capabilities and a proud moment for Katsina State. His wealth of experience and deep understanding of our state’s needs will undoubtedly contribute to the Commission’s success in driving sustainable development across the North West region.”
The Governor, on behalf of the Northwest Govenors Forum, commended President Tinubu for his astute decision in selecting board members of high caliber. “The President’s choice of Hon. Funtua and other distinguished individuals for the NWDC board demonstrate his commitment to the North West’s progress. This move aligns perfectly with our state’s development goals and the broader objectives of the region,” Governor Radda added.
The establishment of the NWDC and the appointment of its inaugural board represent a noticeable step towards addressing the unique developmental challenges faced by the North West region. Governor Radda expressed confidence that the Commission, with Hon.
