The Executive Governor of Katsina State Governor, His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD CON, has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Alhaji Shuaibu Saminu, the Chief Imam of Charanchi Central Mosque, who passed away at the age of 90.
In a statement released today, Governor Radda described the late Alhaji Saminu as a pillar of spiritual guidance who dedicated six decades of his life to serving as the Chief Imam of Charanchi Central Mosque. The Governor emphasized the profound impact the deceased had on the religious and social fabric of the community during his 60-year tenure.
“Alhaji Shuaibu Saminu’s passing is a great loss not only to his family and the people of Charanchi but to the entire Katsina State,” Governor Radda stated. “His love and commitment to promoting peace, unity, and spiritual growth has left an indelible mark on our society.”
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Chief Imam, the Muslim Ummah, and the people of Charanchi Local Government Area. He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdausi and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Governor Radda called on the Muslim community to honour Alhaji Saminu’s legacy by continuing to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, and spiritual devotion that he championed throughout his life. The late Chief Imam is survived by his wives and children.
