The Chief Medical Director, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada Professor Bisala Ekele has appeal to federal lawmakers to domicile their Constituency projects to support the hospital by virtue of his location in the nations city.
He made the appeal on Thursday while playing host to the members of the House of Representatives committee on health in the hospital.
While commending Senator Ireti Kingibe representing the FCT for supporting the hospital through renovation of a ward, he also lauded Senator Joshua Dariye who donated a building to the hospital.
Ekele said the collective efforts and supports of the federal lawmakers both at the green and red chamber by domiciling some of their constituency projects in the hospital will go along way to resolve both infrastructure and equipment deficit.
He asked the committee to attract their colleagues and to also be directly involved in the project of attracting such laudable projects, saying the appropriation of less than one billion to the hospital is not enough.
Responding, the chairman and members of the house Committee on Health led by Mr Amos Gwamna Magaji promised to attract both public and private entities into supporting the hospital.
He also emphasized on the need to appreciate conglomerates who have supported the hospital one way or the other through a letter of commendation and appreciation.
