Africa Democratic Congress ADC Deputy Governorship candidate in Kogi state, Dr Omede Idris has sent a message of congratulations to former Nigerian Medical Association NMA President, Professor Innocent Ujah Otobo Achanya MNI on the conferment of National Productivity order Merit NPOM award by the federal government.
In a message to mark the national investiture, he described the former NMA President as an astute administrator, fine professional and renowned medical expert and educationist who had served the country to the best of his knowledge and ability.
Omede maintained that the renowned Professor of medicine left a lasting legacy both as an academician at the University of Jos , administrator at Nigeria Medical Research Institute NMRI, and a unionist as the immediate past president, Nigerian Medical Association NMA.
He said Professor Ujah was dedicated to both national and regional development of Nigeria in all his endeavors.
While wishing him many more recognition, Dr Omede said the singular honor will spur him to do more for the country.
Professor Ujah was one of the recipients of the 2022 20th national honor in recognition of his contributions to national development.
