Kogi State JNI has called on the people of Kogi State to embrace peace before, during and after the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.
The State Chairman, Ambassador Usman Bello made the call at a special prayer session organized by the Islamic body in Lokoja today.
Ambassador Bello said peace was very necessary for a free, fair and credible election and implored Imams and Scholars to pray against disunity amongst the people of the state.
In a vote of thanks, the State Secretary of Jama’atu Nasril Islam in Kogi State, Alhaji Isa Adeboye thanked Imams from different Islamic organizations who honoured the invitation and prayed Allah to accept their concerted prayers for peace in the State.
The Prayer session was Coordinated by the Imam of JNI Mosque in Lokoja, Sheikh Usman Tauheed.
