Itobe-Okabo Ejule-Alloma has become a deadly zone in Kogi East, with kidnappers dominating the environment. This area is located in Ofu Local Government Area, which is the hometown of the Deputy Governor, Minister, and Hon. Zacharia, the House of Representatives member. Despite being the base of top APC leaders in Kogi East, the local government has failed to address the security issues.
The kidnappers operate with impunity as if they have government in their hands and it’s alarming. Urgent action is needed to secure Kogi State for travelers and ensure safety across the state and beyond.
While I commend the government action in recruiting hunters to secure the environment but the political will is needed , the local government and APC thugs must allow the hunters to operate for the benefit of not only Kogites, the commuters using kogi state to the Eastern part and Idoma kingdom in Benue state .
