The former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has appeal to moslems to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, love and perseverance as demonstrated by prophet Ismail that culminated into the celebration.
In his Salah message released on Sunday, the former governor asked Nigerians , particularly the people of Kogi state to toe the same line that had occasioned the Eid Kabir celebration, so as to triumph in the world’s activities.
He congratulated the moslems for witnessing this years celebration, asking them not to celebrate alone, but along with their Christian brothers and sisters.
Idris appeal to well to do in the society to assist the needy , share the little they have , as there is a lot of benefits in sharing the meagre you have.
While asking Nigerians to continue to pray for a better days ahead, he appeal to leaders to also create an enabling environment to reduce and mitigate the current hardship.
He wished the moslems many more years of happiness and celebrations.
