The Presidency has presented an exemplary National Leadership Awards in Grassroots Development to four Illustrious Sons of Plateau and appointees of the Governor Caleb Mutfwang led Administration and other recipients from the thirty six states across the Federation and the federal capital territory , Abuja.
They are the Transition Implemention Committee Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council, Christopher Manship , Technical Head , Nigeria Covid-19 Recovery Program , Haggai Gutap ,Sunday Abdu, Executive Secretary, Plateau State Emergency Management Agency , and the Director General Plateau State Micro-Finance Development Agency, Bonkam Wuyep.
Presenting the award through the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Logistics at the Merit House Abuja , Prince Paul Adekanye said the recognition of the recipients was carefully done after the approval of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to encourage Nigerians who are doing creditably well in deepening Democratic dividends at the grassroots in line with his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Represented by one of his aides, Olabode George acknowledged the role of the awardees in fostering grassroots development and unity through their remarkable performance.
He noted that despite the challenges confronting the socio-economic situation of the country , they have been exemplary.
He therefore urged them to hold their heads high and continue with the good work they are doing for their people.
Member representing Yagba Constituency in the House of Representatives , Leke Abejide who commended the TIC Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council Christopher Manship for his impactful leadership, said he is a shining star for other Council Chairmen in the country.
According to Abejide the Qua’an Pan TIC Chairman deserves the accolades in view of the fact that he is the only Local Government Chairman in the Country to be presented with a national leadership Honour in grassroots governance.
The TIC Chairman Christopher Audu Manship said he was elated with the honour bestowed on him by the presidency.
Manship noted that the award is a practical demonstration that Governor Mutfwang’s Administration has been recognized not only in Plateau but across the country .
Coordinator, Covid-19 Recovery Unit , Haggai Gutap, Executive Secretary, PLASEMA , Sunday Abdu, and Bonkam Wuyep who spoke separately shortly after the event , noted that the award is an honour done them and Plateau which also indicated that “The “Time Is Now” mantra is riding on the pedestal of development in all sectors of the economy.
