The Minister of Steel Development, Shaibu Abubakar has commiserated with former governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris over the loss of his son, Mohammed Ibrahim Idris.
Shaibu who visited the residence of the former governor on Thursday in Asokoro , Abuja prayed for the repose of the soul of his brother , while appealing to the former governor to take solace that he died fulfilled.
Also former Kogi Governor, Idris Wada prayed that such occurrence though natural, was not expected soon, prayed for God’s forgiveness.
Serving and former Federal Lawmakers which included Rt Honorable Teejay Yusuf, Kabba bunu/ Ijumu, Ahmed Tijanni Damisa, Okene/Ogori magongo, Leke Abejide, Yagba east / Yagba west and Gowon Haruna, Dekina/ Bassa Federal Constituency in kogi state were among the early callers.
On the roll call were former commissioners under the bereaved former governor, and Capt Idris Wada, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants , Special Assistants and political appointees spanned for 13 years.
The immediate past Chairman, People’s Democratic Party PDP, Engr Sam Uhuotu also paid a condolence visit.
While expressing deep grief on the unfortunate incidence, the immediate past Chairman, ICPC
Prof Bolaji Owasanoye was also on ground to pay a condolence visit.
While receiving the dignataries, former governor Idris expressed gratitude for the love, care and affection displayed by dignataries from all walks of life in Kogi and across the country.
He described death as the last human activity on earth, praying for more years for sympathisers.
