Barrister Humpreh E, Abah, a Founding Member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, a Former Legal Adviser of the PDP North Central Zone and Former Minister Of Police Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria held a Consultative meeting with the Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party North Central Zone led by its able Chairman Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan at Rock View Royal Hotel Abuja on Wednesday, 3rd April 2024.
Those in attendance include the North Central PDP Working committee and Exco Officio, the North Central PDP National Ex- officios , the PDP States Chapter Chairmen and FCT, their Deputies and the States Secretaries.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Humphrey E. Abah Esq, thanked the North Central PDP delegation for honouring his Invitation. He expressed his intentions to lead the Party, the PDP at the National level as National Chairman.
He pointed out most emphatically that he seeks the support of the North Central delegation to join hands and support him in emerging as the next National Chairman of the Party to complete the tenure of the embattled Chairman Sen Iyochia Ayu.
Hon Abah reteirated that he is one of the Founding Member of the PDP in Kogi State as well as an active participant in the Zone.
He assured the delegation that he knows where the Shoe pinches and believes the solution to the protracted failure of the PDP is in returning Power to the People. In the pursuit of fairness, equity and justice he, Hon Abah should be supported to become the next National Chairman. This will enable him to revamp the PDP.
In his response, the Chairman of the PDP North Central Zone, Hon Theophilus Dakas Shan appreciated the Hon Barr Humphrey Abah for summoning the meeting to declare his interest in contending for the Position of National Chairman of the PDP.
Hon Dakas Shan expressed satisfaction on the disposition and submission of the National Chairmanship Contestant of our great party, the PDP especially that he is also from the North Central zone of the Country.
He urged the Aspirant to do more work by spreading his tantacles to other leaders and stakeholders of the Party to ganner more support towards the actualisation of his goal.
Hon, Theophilus Dakas Shan reiterated that the quest for the PDP National Chairmanship of Our dear Party , the PDP must be a collective responsibility by all and sundry within the geopolitical entity of North Central Zone including FCT.
Hon Dakas Shan further stated that whosoever emerged from the Zone will be embraced and supported across board. In as much, we desire to retain the position of the National Chairmanship of Our dear Party, the PDP, within the North Central Zone, we should support our leaders in arriving at the right decision that will ultimately foster unity, cohesion, harmorny, growth and stability of our dear Party at all levels.
