The National Productivity Centre NPC in conjunction with former member representing Dekina Bassa in the Federal House of Representatives, Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa has donated empowerment items to selected women and youths in Gboloko and Eforo wards in Bassa local government area of Kogi state.
The items meant for the 2023 Constituency project consisted of grinding machines presented on Tuesday at Gboloko primary health care centre PHC premises, which was aimed at sustaining both youths and women in the area into self sustenance.
While urging the beneficiaries not to sell the items, the former federal lawmaker promised to continue to support the less privilege in view of the poverty level in the society.
Rt Honorable Abdullahi asked the selected beneficiaries to use the opportunity to detach themselves from the persistent for self fulfilment, using the items as a leeway.
Earlier the representative of the National Productivity Centre NPC and field officer advised the beneficiaries to use the opportunity to launch into enterpreneurial and self development in view of the current economic situations.
The NPC promised to continue to partner with federal lawmakers with a view to achieving the desire to touch the lives of their constituents positively.
Highlights of the event included distribution of the grinding machines to each beneficiaries spread across the two wards and other units of the local government.
