The Chairman, Committee of Chief Medical Directors and Medical Directors of federal Tertiary Hospitals CCMDFTH, Professor Enem Bassey has described the junior workers in any organization as crucial to the development of any institution.
He made this assertion on Friday in Gwagwalada, Abuja during the commisioning of The Engineer Bala Mangut junior staff block built by the hospital.
He congratulated the Chief Medical Director, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Professor Bissala Ekele for prioritizing staff welfare and development, stating that shelter is key to the overall development of staffs.
The Chief Medical Director, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital asked the newly allocated workers who got the new blocks through balloting to ensure a serene environment, so as to encourage more structures are put in place for junior workers.
Responding, Ekele expressed fulfilment in the building of the structure, stating that accomodation had been a major problem of staffs of the organization.
He said the structure is not on owner occupier basis, stating that it is meant for the hospital and will be open for other junior workers when they retires.
Ekele promised to continue to deploy the little resources available to the development of staff and the hospital.
