Family members of two policemen killed during the attack by APC sponsored thugs in Anyigba before the November 11 governorship election have protested over non release of the corpse by Kogi state government for final burial.
A source close to the family both in Abuja and Anyigba in Kogi state revealed that Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello was yet to approve the release of the two serving policemen labelled as terrorists and killed while on official engagements .
The intentions of the two family members is to bury their late breadwinners before the Christmas and New year yuletide sets in.
Emissaries to the police headquarters and Kogi state government was not clear about the refusal of the state government to release the late police officers.
The two officers were separately killed at the residence of the DG SDP campaign council during the electioneering campaigns in Anyigba, while the second officer was whisked away and killed by dissident officers been used by the state government, against the main opposition party in Kogi .
As at press time, efforts to get to the people concerned still proved futile, with the corpse deposited at the State Specialist Hospital,Lokoja Mortuary.
The late Attaboh, and Friday Omega lost their lives while in service in Kogi state.
