The Former Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority FHA, Arc Terver Gemade has called for more collaborations between the stakeholders in the housing sector to give more supports to the management of the authority so as to deliver on its mandate.
He made this observation during his contributions to the panelists discussion on Friday during the celebration of 50 years anniversary at international conference centre ICC, Abuja.
Gemade who commended the good intentions of the current administration as outlined by the current Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc Ahmed Musa Dangiwa was a coincidence of the leadership of the Authority under Senator Gbenga Ashafa.
He urged the private sector to open up to more partnerships that will not only galvanize the provision of affordable housing, but robust shelter for ordinary Nigerians.
Gemade appeal to the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under it’s Renewed Hope Agenda to detach bureaucratic bottlenecks towards making real it’s promise go provide immediate funds as succour to FHA that will translate into realising 1M houses per annum.
The former Managing Director also appeal to the international agencies to do more in the area of funding, stating that provision of funds had been militating against housing development and had contributed to housing deficit in the country .
