The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies NILDS is organising a retreat on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom state beginning from Thursday, October 19.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Director, Communication of the institute, Joke Akinsami and released on Wednesday.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to declare the retreat open while the Senate President, Obong Godswill Akpabio will be the Chief Host.
The exclusive gathering and sound minds of the 10th Senate and elites will be present at the gathering, as it is expected that vibrant discussion and deliberation will pervade the occasion.
The occasion is also expected to be a game changer that will kick start a robust tax innovation in the country.
With it’s commitment to building capacity and knowledge, the institute is determined to bring on board a lasting tax revolution that will sustain the taste of time.
