Baci cooked non-stop for more than 100 hours in a marathon effort in Lagos in May.
The chef cooked mostly Nigerian meals, such as jollof rice, as well as different types of rice and pasta, and also made akara – a popular street food made from deep-fried mashed beans. The food was handed out to invited guests.
During the four-day stint, she could only take a five-minute break each hour.
Despite the hours she clocked up, GWR logged her record at 93 hours 11 minutes, docking her seven hours for taking a longer break than allowed on one occasion.
But Baci still easily beat the previous record holder Lata Tondon of India, who managed a time of 87 hours 45 minutes in 2019.
