The three day Retreat for members of the Kebbi State Executive Council has entered its third and last day today at the Royal Continental Hotel Abuja.
The last paper at the Retreat is currently being presented by one of Nigeria’s finest political scientists, and a former Vice Chancellor Professor Nuhu Yaqub. He dwells on Essentials of Democracy and Good Governance.
He explained that politics is not just about capturing power but about the quality of power deployed for the betterment of the society. professor Yaqub noted that working in synergy and commitment to the good of the people is critical to the success of the administration.
He expressed the hope that the honorable commissioners would execute the mandate given to them by the Governor of the state Dr (Comrade) Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) to make life better for the people of the state.
In attendants are the deputy governor of the state Senator Umar Abubakar Argungu, the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, the Head of Service Safiyanu Bena, the Chief of Staff Barrister Attahiru Maccido as well as all the Commissioners of the state.
